Lenni Sykes
The Natural Hedgehog book cover

Hedgehogs are a vital part of the natural diversity of life and one of the Earth's oldest inhabitants. As common garden friends they are loved by adults and children alike, yet the effects of human disturbance pose an enormous threat to their existance. The Natural Hedgehog explores the hedgehog's lifestyle and its place in the ecosystem, and how you can help ensure its continued survival. Working as a team, Lenni Sykes and Jane Durrant provide a practical guide to helping hedgehogs, which includes advice on all aspects of hedgehog care, ranging from making your garden a safe haven for hedgehogs, to caring for sick and injured hedgehogs and treating them homeopathically, and then rehabilitating and releasing them safely back into the wild.

Lenni Sykes is a long-term vegan and lives in Malvern. See snippets of her book and other work here.

Bernie Jones
INSANITY
Looked on as necessity so
Accepted by society
Enveloped in normality so
Supported by the majority
Their tortured souls cry out to me
By-products of an industry
Bred to die for us to eat
Dying for something so petty
To me, this is insanity.
HEY LITTLE DUCKY
Hey, little ducky, do you want some bread?
Why should I feed you? You'll soon be dead.
Hey little ducky, want some water to float?
No point little ducky, I'm gonna cut your throat.
Hey little ducky, do you want to be free?
Too bad little ducky, I want to eat you for tea.
Hey little ducky, shall I stop your pain?
Your the lucky little ducky, you won't see another day.
